The Tenth Anniversary Cammack Health Benefit Survey of Hospitals Launches for 2015
New York, NY, 2.17.2015: Starting February 17, 2015, The Cammack Health Benefit Survey of Hospitals is inviting respondents for its 2015 report. The Benefit Survey, now in its tenth year, is the only evaluation of its kind to provide analysis and insight into benefit and population health practices within the healthcare industry.
The 2015 Benefit Survey of Hospitals will feature a record number of health system respondents across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania; it will also cover Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the first time. A number of key questions raised by participants will be addressed. The survey highlights costs and trends around leave of absence, and the steps that major players in healthcare are taking to address the 2018 requirements of the ACA’s “Cadillac Tax” provision.
In 2014, the Benefit Survey of Hospitals provided key data and insights into the ACA’s effects across the healthcare industry. Results shed light on the pressures upon the richer plans provided by most hospitals, and the concerns of healthcare employers on the coverage status of large per diem employee populations. Other effects of the ACA noted by the survey included the imposition of health plan out-of-pocket maximums and employer responses around prescription drug plans. The survey also documented one of the lowest per employee per year cost increases in five years.
For ten years, the Benefit Survey of Hospitals has provided its respondents with key industry benchmarking data, ranging from employee cost sharing to utilization to trends in wellness programs and ACO adoption. As Maria Kinney, Director of Benefits, Compensation and Systems at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey says, “Nine years ago, the Cammack Health Survey provided valuable insight into our own population trends and the healthcare industry as a whole. Since then, this information has only grown more comprehensive in scope and continued to foster awareness of our industry’s needs.”
The survey results are only available to participants; health systems and hospitals interested in participating in the 2015 survey may contact Rosemary Huzovic at email@example.com or (646) 839-8227. Highlights of the 2014 survey are available from http://www.cammackhealth.com/survey.
