Cammack Health’s deep subject matter expertise in H&B for healthcare organizations creates an exciting opportunity for a H&B Consultant looking to expand knowledge in the critical areas that impact cost of care. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Cammack Health business group within Aon Hewitt in New York, NY.

Your Impact As An H&B Consultant
You will support the lead consultant on client assignments and work with other consultants to provide superior service to clients. Our Consultants are a key part of our client service team, creating reports, responding to client inquiries, maintaining relationships with vendors, and working with a senior level account executive on presenting reports and developing client relationships. Since the Cammack Health business unit is focused on the healthcare sector, you will have an excellent opportunity to work with leading hospital systems and learn more about the delivery system and the unique needs of employer plan sponsors where they are both purchaser and provider.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve medium and large clients by helping them with design, modification, financial aspects, communication, implementation and administration of their benefit plans
  • Support senior consultants and management in all areas related to health and welfare plans and population health management, as applicable
  • Ensure that clients are completely satisfied with our services
  • Produce specific measurable results by maintaining quality control, monitoring plan performance, establishing and following up on mutual goals and objectives with clients
  • Provide ongoing support to client, advise on benefit inquiries and research issues
  • Prepare health and welfare annual plan reviews
  • Develop a partnership with clients, vendors, and internal staff by establishing and maintaining solid relationships with plan sponsors, sustaining rapport at all levels and coordinating customer service
  • Manage projects so that the output is of the highest quality standard and the results are useful to the client
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • 2 plus years of experience in Health and Benefits
  • 2 plus years of experience in a HR consulting firm or professional services firm.
  • An interest in the healthcare sector and passion for making it work better
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Working knowledge of benefits and services offered and value to clients
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Intellectual curiosity – a willingness to ask questions and continuously learn
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Aptitude for organizing work and prioritizing
  • Attention to detail
  • A sense of personal pride in accomplishing projects successfully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, “roll up your sleeves” attitude
  • A sense of humor
